Another New Person!

Hello everyone!

This week was good! Hermana Becker and I celebrated our 8-month/1-month mark with the STL's at Thai Spice and oh my goodness I love that restaurant! It's probably my favorite place to eat in Laramie.

We also got another New Person this week! Her name is Leti - she was a "grey dot" (previously taught people) in our Area Book. We had passed by last week and she was really nice and seemed interested, so we read 2 Nephi 26:33 with her and invited her to read the Introduction to the Book of Mormon and set up a time to come back the next week. So on Saturday, we went back and asked her if she'd had time to read the intro and she said she'd read the first 4 chapters of 1 Nephi! She told us she liked how Nephi trusted in the Lord and believed He would help him get the Brass Plates and travel through the wilderness! We were BLOWN away! We talked about faith, and she totally understood it and we were so excited! We set up a time to come back next week and walked out of there ecstatic! We're super excited!

Sad News: Brisia didn't come to church this Sunday, so we're gonna have to push back her baptismal date a few weeks (it's for May 15th right now) because we don't want to baptize someone who's already inactive; she got a job recently and hasn't responded to any of our messages or come to church in the past few weeks. If you guys could pray for her, we would really appreciate it!

Yesterday, we met with Flor and helped her figure out her RS lesson this Sunday! She seemed really nervous about it, so we read the assigned conference talk and helped her come up with ideas and things to talk about for the class discussion.

Love you all and talk to you next week!

(Sorry there's only 2 pictures this week - I'll have more in next week's email!)

Quote page for the week

A failed Book of Mormon painting project (it was meant to be a cool geometric pattern, but the paint peeled off and turned out really ugly so I started rubbing it off and made it worse - we're not gifting it anymore, clearly!)
