It was a really good week! Xochitl and her family came back to church (finally) so we were super excited! They hadn't been to church in over a month, so we were really happy to see them there. Fabiola also came and is just doing so well! She's so excited to get to the temple and do her family's work!
Angela
(the inactive member from last week) also came to church! We were super
excited to see her there, and she even stayed for Relief Society! So
many members of the ward were so welcoming to her, which was great to
see!
We also started
teaching Deb, who is the sister of a member of our ward - their mom
passed away about a month ago, and she's been really struggling to
understand what's going on and what happened to her mom - we talked
about the Plan of Salvation, and long story short, she's on date to be
baptized! It's so amazing to see how the Lord prepares people to make
covenants with Him, even in the strangest ways!
In
one of my Personal Studies this week, one of the Church's videos from
2014 popped into my head (The Refiner's Fire - you can find it on Gospel
Library or Saints Channel). It's SUCH a good video that beautifully
depicts the perfect plan that God has for us - not always what we want,
but always what we need! I invite you all to watch it and pick one way
you can better trust in the Lord's plan for you! I promise you'll begin
to see the beauty in your trials and find more joy, even during painful
times
Love you all and have a great week!!!
