Lessons, Lessons, and More Lessons :)

We finally had another lesson with Roberto (our friend who is on-date for baptism!) and just went over the baptismal interview questions - he thought that he wasn't very prepared for baptism, but as we went through the questions and explained, he realized that he believed and understood most (if not all) of the principles and commandments included in the interview questions! He came to church again on Sunday (he comes every week but we're always excited to see him there!) and he brought his daughter Dayana (who is also on-date!) So we were super excited to see her there too!

We also had an AWESOME lesson with Lupe, one of our recent converts, and are helping him prepare to take a family member's name to the temple to do their work! We're SO excited for him and so is he!

On Thursday, we had a really good lesson with Lincoln, the guy we met last week! We talked about the Restoration realized that he has a LOT of questions regarding the Plan of Salvation, so we'll have another lesson with him tonight and talk about that! He's been reading in the Book of Mormon the past few days, and he says he's really liking it! We're so happy for him!

Personal Study Excerpt for this week:

Jacob 4:10 - "Wherefore, brethren, seek not to counsel the Lord, but to take counsel from His hand. For behold, ye yourselves know that He counseleth in wisdom, and in justice, and in great mercy, over all His works."

--sometimes, I catch myself thinking that my ideas/plans/perspectives are better and greater than God's, but they're not! I'll catch myself thinking, "Why did it have to happen this way? Wouldn't it have been better if this had happened instead?" God's plan has never been, and will never be, frustrated!

--HIS plan is always better, and HIS perspective is always greater
