Muttered Prayers, Temple Recommends, and Member Friends!

Diego came to church for the first time on Sunday! We were super excited, since he's our most progressing friend right now - he said he really liked it!

Fabiola also came to church and is just the cutest little lady. Sometimes, she still mutters a little prayer to herself (out of habit) during the opening/closing prayer and/or the Sacrament prayer, but we just gently remind her to listen and she goes "oh! oh, yes, yes, listen." We love her! We're working on setting up a temple recommend interview with the Bishop so she can go to the temple soon!

We visited Kylie Perkins (an inactive member) for the first time in a little bit, and we were planning on telling her we couldn't meet with her anymore (because she wasn't keeping commitments), but then we ended up talking about the temple and how much she wants to get there! She went and did baptisms once back when she was a recent convert, but it's been a looong time! We talked about someday having her and her family be sealed in the temple, and she was like "Oh wow...yeah, that would be really cool..." She said she'll be coming to church this coming Sunday and start working towards getting a temple recommend, so we're super excited for her!

We also met with Xochitl and her kids again (finally!) It had been a while, since they were sick, out of town, sick again, and out of town again, so we just sat down and talked about their relationships with the members and how help them feel comfortable coming to church. It went really well, and we're going to work on helping them strengthen those friendships, so that they have support from the members when Hermana Shumway and I (eventually) leave Fort Morgan (we don't talk about that, though) We love the Mota family!

Personal Study Excerpt for the week:

D&C 133:19 - "Wherefore, prepare ye for the coming of the Bridegroom; go ye, go ye out to meet Him."
--we're not supposed to just wait around until Christ knocks on the door - we're supposed to GO out and MEET Him - we need to take action!
--I invite you all to find one specific thing that you can do to take action and "go out to meet" Christ! It can be something really small, like reading in the Book of Mormon everyday (even just one verse!) I promise that as you take action in preparing for Christ's Second Coming, you'll be ready whenever that day comes - it will be the happiest day ever if we're prepared for it!

Love you all and have an awesome week!
