Goodbye Fort Morgan...Hello Longmont!

It's been a crazy first week in Longmont! Hermana Shumway and I drove from Fort Morgan to Fort Collins to meet up with our new companions (there was a lot of crying on my part) and then Hermana Passey and I drove from there down to Longmont! Hermana Passey is super nice and funny, and we've been able to start working well together already, which is great!

We had transfer breakfast with the whole zone on Friday, where I met Stake President Copple, who is the son of Jeannie Copple, a wonderful lady from my ward back home! The church really does make the world a whole lot smaller!

That night, we had a great lesson with Marco, and invited him to come to church for the first time - he said he would! The Spirit was SO strong while we were there, and you could tell he was feeling it! And he came! He and his his nephew, Mario, came to church and the Spanish Branch was SO welcoming - it was amazing! Daniel (another guy we're teaching) and Roberto (he's on-date for March 26th!) also came, so we almost doubled the size of the congregation!  It's so cool to have church in Spanish again - I absolutely LOVED the Fort Morgan ward, but there are a lot of perks to having a Spanish Branch as a Spanish missionary

We also had an impromptu lesson with Francisco, and it went really well! We read the title page of the Book of Mormon and invited him to read the Testimony of the Prophet Joseph Smith.

Personal Study Excerpt of the week:

2 Nephi 21:5 - "And righteousness shall be the girdle of His loins, and faithfulness the girdle of His reigns."
--girdle = an encircling or ringlike structure; close-fitting foundational garment
---have righteousness encircle you and be close to you!

Find a way to further encircle yourself in righteousness and faithfulness - this can look like a lot of different things: praying more earnestly, studying the scriptures more intently, taking the Sacrament more thoughtfully, etc. As you just pick one thing to work on, you'll feel more light encircle you, and you'll be able to find more joy!!

Love you all and have a great week!!!
