¡¡Transfer News!! I'm going to train a brand-new missionary!! I'm SO excited (and nervous) We get to meet her at the mission office tonight and take her back to Longmont, so it'll be super exciting and terrifying all at the same time!
Hermana Passey is leaving me and going up to Scottsbluff, Nebraska to be in a trio with Hermana
Severtson and Hermana Hovey (for those who don't remember the names,
Hermana Severtson was my companion for 1 transfer in Fort Morgan, and
was also Hermana Passey's companion for 2 transfers in Greeley!) Hermana
Passey will be awesome up in Scottsbluff, but I'm sad I only got 1
transfer with her. I know that the Lord needs her there, though, and that she'll do amazing things!!
We
had a great lesson with the Amaya family last Tuesday (they've been
on-date for baptism for April 23rd!) Roberto and his daughter Dayana
were there, and we brought our member friend, Hermana Romero, to share
some cool experiences about Tithing and Fasting! We also talked with
Dayana about baptism, and she said that she and her brother Javier just
aren't ready for baptism yet, so we decided to take them off-date for
baptism. BUT, we asked Roberto if he would still be baptized on the 23rd, even
if Dayana and Javier aren't getting baptized with him, and he said yes!
He's so ready, and we're so excited for him!
We
also had a great lesson with Eddy on Saturday! We met up at the park
and read the Introduction to the Book of Mormon together. The Spirit was
SO strong (as always!) during the part about the 1st Vision, and we
could see that Eddy was feeling it! We're super excited for him to keep
progressing!
Personal Study Excerpt for the week:
Mosiah
5:15 - "Therefore, I would that ye should be steadfast and immovable,
always abounding in good works, that Christ, the Lord Omnipotent, may
seal you His, that you may be brought to Heaven, that he may have
everlasting salvation and eternal life"
--steadfast = marked by firm determination or resolution - firm and dependable, especially in loyalty (ex. a steadfast ally)
--are
we trustworthy, loyal allies to the Lord? He wants to trust us to do
His work, but we also need to show Him we're worthy of His trust!
-what can you do to be a more "steadfast ally" to the Lord? How can you be more loyal to Him?
Love you all and have a great week!
-Hermana DeWitt
